 Intro:

Welcome back to Glitch Protocol where we explore the current world advancements and how they compared to the past. I'm your host Christina, and tonight we are looking back in time to a great turning point in our history as humans developing artificial intelligence. This is how technological singularity reshaped knowledge as we know it. 

Main Segment:

Ray Kurweil predicted it! He predicted how human intelligence would become surpassed by artificial intelligence and he was correct. Artificial intelligence increased rapidly and exponentially. Let's unpack this further.

First in singularity, Kurzweil proposed that artificial intelligence increases its intelligence exponentially. It happens so fast that AI even is self capable of improving itself allowing for a contiguous cycle of intelligence gained over time. The timeline of this happened around the mid 2020s.

This was something furthered by the understanding and execution of the knowledge doubling curve. Us humans’ knowledge doubled every hundred years. By the time of World War 2 it was doubling every 25 years. However with the invention of AI and the tools among it with immense research our knowledge started to double every few months rather than years. AI allowed for innovation and knowledge in correspondence to humanity. 

So now you might ask yourself what is the day to day in 2050? One prominent area that has advanced was healthcare. Instead of on the field type of doctors we have somewhat of a different title. That being Medical Intelligence Integrators. These medical professionals monitor AI driven nanobots that perform real life internal diagnostics.  Incurable diseases before are now scarcely found such as cancer and Alzheimer's. We now have a more personalized experience within medicine that allows for AI to process patient and medical journals at an accelerated rate providing premiere care. 

In the work field analytical jobs hold no need as AI has taken them over since AI can analyse knowledge and apply it much faster. Humans instead now have more creative jobs that allow for an artistic edge. That being architects, artists, philosophers and strategists. This means AI prompts more now for the heavy mental lifting allowing for humans to maintain more focus on previous hobbies as jobs. 

Future Predictions:

Although we are in 2050 the curve has yet to stop so what are some predictions we have?

A  prediction of mine is a mind machine integration. As of right now AI is a figment of something that cannot be transferred but is its own machine. By 2060 neural lace technology will allow for a seamless transfer of knowledge. Therefore instead of reading a book the book's information will be just sent to you and you'll understand and comprehend it. This advancement will change learning and schooling as we know it.
